We are Ankita Ghate & Prachi Vaidya, co-founders of The Olive Tree, a dream born from a journey that ignited a shared vision for exquisite home decor and furnishings.
While we, Ankita & Prachi, come from completely different academic backgrounds of Architecture and Engineering, our shared eye for design and innate appreciation for aesthetics came together when Ankita designed Prachi’s family home.
The story began on the colorful streets of Jaipur, where the scent of spices mingles with the vibrant hues of textiles, and centuries of artistic tradition comes alive with each step. As we strolled through the bustling bazaars, looking for accessories for Prachi’s new home, we found ourselves captivated by the intricate craftsmanship of local artisans. The kaleidoscope of colors and the symphony of patterns stirred something within us – a desire to bring this beauty, rich with Indian heritage, to homes across the world.
With hearts full of inspiration and a resolve to bridge cultures through design, we embarked on a new adventure. Guided by our deep appreciation for the craftsmanship of India, we decided to create a platform that celebrates the essence of local artistry. And thus, “The Olive Tree” was born.
